Nerf Commander RD-6 Tactical Features

The Commander RD-6 is a compact Nerf gun that has two modes of delivery, single fire and slam-fire. It’s fed by a 6 round rotating drum that has front load capability, however, expect a slower reload speed due to manually rotating the cylinder. This gun is primed by a top mounted slide-action primer that offers tactical milling for grip. The Commander also adaptable and offers an N-Strike tactical accessory connection points for both the barrel and the stock if you choose to upgrade.

This Nerf gun is very similar in design to the Longarm and the CycloneShock

The Commander has 3 usable tactical rails. One above the barrel, one below and the other is on the bottom of the grip guard. These rails will prove useful for a scope or lighting upgrade, but the tactical presence along is always welcoming.

In addition to this you will find two sling point locations that will both serve useful. One located on the front of the blaster and the other is just below the grip frame.

Loading & Reloading

Reloading The Commander RD-6

The Commander RD-6 has an open faced rotating cylinder. This front load design system makes for an easy process and will help to decrease reload time. This system also allows for a quick load and fire of a single dart, however, the one-way rotation of the cylinder will need to be considered.

To reload the Commander, place Nerf darts into each slot while manually rotating the drum to reach all 6 slots. Furthermore, this manual application does give the gun a slower reload speed overall.

Operation

How to Operate the Commander RD-6

The Commander uses a slide-action primer that’s located on the top portion of the Nerf gun. To operate the Commander, pull the priming slide towards the back of the gun and then return it to the forward position. This will complete one cycle and ready the gun to fire a single round. Moreover, this can be repeated as necessary to continue in single fire mode.

Slam-fire mode is similar, however, it will require an additional step. While holding down the trigger, cycle the priming slide to fire a round. This Elite 2.0 Nerf gun will accommodate a high rate of fire.

The Commander Uses Elite 2.0 Nerf Darts

The Commander RD-6 comes with 12 Elite 2.0 Nerf darts, however, this gun is compatible with all Elite style darts. These darts are durable and are said to have increased accuracy.
