NERF ACCUSTRIKE BULLDOG TACTICAL FEATURES

The Bulldog has some interesting features that will set it apart from the rest of the Accustrike family. Initially, the Nerf gun has a two stage system that allows it to go from a collapsed position to an active position by pulling down on the front grip. This will expand the stock, raise the sight and drop the front handle. The gun can be collapsed back down by pushing the orange button in front of the trigger guard.

TACTICAL RAILS AND SLING POINTS

The tactical rail located on top of the Bulldog is best suited for a scope, however, it will interfere with the gun collapsing. I would recommend skipping the scope accessory and stick with the sight that comes with the Nerf gun.

Additionally, the sling point located on the bottom of the grip does have a practical use. Slings are inexpensive accessories that are good to have around because they work on just about every Nerf gun.

THE BULLDOG HAS A FAST RELOAD SPEED

Reloading the Bulldog is extremely easy. Nerf darts are loaded directly into the 3 barrels from the front of the gun. Given how easy this process is, the Bulldog has an increased reload speed, however, it is hindered by only having a 3 round capacity. It’s not a bad tradeoff but you will spend a lot of time reloading, so make sure you’re familiar with the process.

EASY TO OPERATE NERF GUN

The Nerf Bulldog uses a pull handle primer to active the gun. The primer is located right off the back of the Nerf gun, above the stock. Pull the handle towards you (away from the gun) and this will put the Bulldog in the ready position. Pull the trigger to fire a single round.

Worth mentioning. It makes no difference how many darts are loaded, be it one or three, the Bulldog will fire a round. All three barrels do not have to be loaded for the gun to work.

MEGA ACCUSTRIKE NERF DARTS

The Bulldog comes with a unique style of ammunition. Accustrike Nerf darts are an upgraded version of the Mega darts that were designed for accuracy. This ammo will also bring some noise just like the original.

This Nerf gun is compatible with all Mega darts, so if you choose to switch out ammo it will not affect the performance of the gun.

MY THOUGHTS ON THE NERF BULLDOG

Pull handle primers are simple to work with. You just pull them back to prime the Nerf gun and suppress the trigger to fire a shot. Sounds easy right? The issue with the Bulldog is the location of the priming handle. If you attempt to use the stock it will put the handle right at your chest which disrupts the process.

I don’t believe the team over at Hasbro was going for a sub-compact when they designed the gun. It feels more like a mini grenade launcher, than a sub-compact. You can also see it in the style of scope that was chosen. Furthermore, the gun is not setup to cycle fast, so the idea of prime and lob is present in how the Nerf gun operates.

To add to the effect the Nerf darts whistle as they sore through the air. The only thing missing is a minor explosion sound upon impact. Overall, I don’t dislike it once you understand a bit more about it’s design.
