Eaglepoint RD-8 Tactical Features

The Eaglepoint is a bolt-action Nerf gun with an 8 round capacity. It uses an open faced rotating drum as a feed mechanism and has two modes of delivery, single fire and slam-fire. This gun has an exceptionally small footprint for a precision focused blaster which gives it a great mobility rating.

There are three tactical rails located on the Eaglepoint. The first is on top of the Nerf gun which already comes equipped with a scope and another just below the rotating cylinder. The third is located on the bottom portion of the barrel. All three are N-Strike attachment points that will accommodate any accessory of your choosing.

In addition to the tactical rails there are areas on the gun where you can put a sling point but nothing ergonomic enough that stands out.

Loading & Reloading

Reloading The Eaglepoint Blaster

From the front of the Nerf gun you can see the open face of the rotating cylinder. It has an 8 round capacity and is also where the darts will be loaded. The process is rather quick, however, in order to reach all the slots the cylinder will need to be manually rotated. Due to this the Eaglepoint has an increased reload time. Therefore, instead of waiting until the gun is empty, take advantage of the open face system and load on the go.

Operation

How to Operate The Eaglepoint RD-8

Pull the bolt back towards the stock and then return it to the forward position to ready the primer. This will put the gun in the ready position to fire a single round and will also need to be repeated for each shot. Moreover, this method of delivery will result in a lower rate of fire, therefore utilizing the gun’s mobility to your advantage.

The Eaglepoint uses Elite 2.0 Nerf darts. These darts have a great durability rating and are compatible with all N-Strike style guns, mags, drums and accessories. Also, darts are designed to be consumable items, therefore, consider keeping the armory filled.
