Nerf Halo Bulldog SG Technical Features

The Bulldog SG is a single fire Nerf gun that’s fed by a 10 round rotating drum. This gun is primed by a pump-action primer and has two modes of delivery, single fire and slam-fire. You will find it has an average trigger response, with a shortened priming cycle. Moreover, the combination of these features is what gives this Nerf gun an increased rate of fire.

The two flip sights will prove to be an asset in maintaining shot consistency, however, much more can be said for the shoulder stock. The stock will give you a increased control without hindering mobility. Furthermore, maintaining consistency while in slam-fire mode is heavily reliant on a tight fit against the shoulder.

Unfortunately there are no sling points to discuss, however, the Halo Bulldog does have a number of tactical rails that will accommodate any number of accessories. The most obvious would be a sight for the top rail system. The other two tactical rails on the left and right side are trickier and could cause stability issues so take this into consideration. Furthermore, this Nerf gun will perform well in its current state.

Reloading The Bulldog SG Blaster

The Bulldog SG uses a rotating drum as a feed mechanism. This drum has a front load design that will allow Nerf darts to be loaded directly into the front of the drum. Moreover, to access all the slots the drum will need to be manually rotate. The process is not hard, however, it will increase the overall reload time.

My recommendation to speed up the process. 7 of the 10 slots are accessible when the gun is fully emptied out. Speed load these 7 and then give the drum one quick rotation to hit the other 3.

How to Operate The Bulldog SG

The Bulldog SG is a pump-action Nerf gun that’s initiated by the front grip. To cycle the Nerf gun, pull the grip back towards the drum and then return it to the forward position. This will put the gun in the ready position to fire a single round. Moreover, this mode of fire is repeatable and sustainable if you choose.

To access slam-fire mode there’s one additional step needed and it will require you to keep the trigger suppressed. Furthermore, as long as you continue to hold the trigger down, the Bulldog will fire a round with each pump cycle.
