NERF HYPER RUSH-40 TACTICAL FEATURES
There are 4 usable tactical rails located on the Rush-40 that were designed with the intention of accommodating the reload canisters, however, they are suitable for a range of accessories.
On the top of the blaster is an integrated sighting system that will do it’s job as long as you don’t put a reload canister on the top tactical rail. Nerf guns are only so accurate, although it does give you a visual point.
RUSH-40 SAFETY FEATURES
While pointing the Nerf gun in the outward position you will find the trigger safety located on the left side of the gun. Putting it in the downward position will lock the trigger and the blaster will not fire. Moving the trigger safety upwards will put the gun back into the ready position.
On the back of the Rush-40 there are 2 small buttons. The top is the priming indicator and will show yellow when there is a Hyper Round primed and ready to fire. Blow this indicator is the anti-lock button that will unlock the gun in a primed state in order to address malfunctions such as jamming.
ADDITION FEATURES
Located on the bottom of the handle is a sling point. This feature is only as handy as your decision to use this blaster as a backup. If you’re using the RUSH-40 as your primary weapon this feature will have little use.
HOW TO RELOAD THE RUSH-40
Loading and reloading is fast and takes very little effort when you use the refill canisters. I would recommend buying at least one. They’re a time saver and worth the investment. Loading/reloading by hand can become a daunting and messy process
RELOADING THE NERF GUN ON THE FLY
Having the ability to reload fast and on the move is vital to anyone who’s right in the middle of the action. The fastest way to finish a reload evolution is to use the reload canisters. It’s not a simple dump and go process but more of a slower pour. Far from perfect but much faster then using your hands.
HOW TO OPERATE THE HYPER RUSH-40
This Nerf gun is fairly simple to cycle and I’m sure the visual aid will do a good job of articulating what I write. The Rush-40 uses a slide-action primer so once the gun is fully loaded you will grip the top portion of the blaster and pull backwards. This will prime the Nerf gun to fire a single round and this is a single fire blaster so you will need to repeat this process before firing each Hyper-Round.
THIS NERF GUN HAS A STRONGER PRIMING PULL
The priming cycle will be a little harder then most of the dart style Nerf guns you may be used to. This is partly due to a higher firing velocity that will top out around 110 fps. Requiring more force to prime the gun will also make it more difficult for younger children to operate this blaster.
The Nerf Hyper Rush-40 is a single fire blaster that uses a slide-action priming system and would fall into the handgun category. Typically you would think of a pistol as a backup to a more dominate primary arsenal but with the Rush-40 that’s not necessarily the case. You will find that this Nerf gun can take the lead role just fine.
RUSH-40 IS A HIGH CAPACITY NERF GUN
This Nerf gun is by no means the fastest shooting in terms of cycling through rounds but it does make up it in sheer volume. 40 rounds goes a long way and will no doubt keep you in the action longer.
HIGH FPS NERF GUN
The Rush-40 is also one of the highest FPS shooting Nerf guns available. This is a feature that is exclusive to the Hyper series and tops out just above the Rival series at 100 FPS
Rush-40 Ammo (Hyper Rounds)
The Rush-40 uses Hyper rounds. These are not to be mistaken with the all to familiar Rival rounds that are used with all other Rival series blasters. Hyper Rounds are similar in texture but are much small in caliber and are manufactured out of a completely different material.
Please keep in mind that Hyper blasters take a specific type of ammunition. Hyper rounds are NOT interchangeable with Rival rounds or blasters.
Integrated Hopper
The Rush-40 has an integrated hopper (magazine) system with a 40 round load capacity. If you’re not familiar with Nerf guns this is well above average and can be attributed to the redesign in caliber (size) of the new Hyper Rounds. These newly designed rounds made a more streamlined and compact hopper possible.
