Coolest Looking Nerf Guns By Series
The coolest looking Nerf guns are by comparison a gem in the rough. They extend beyond their primitive function to deliver a visual appeal that’s unmatched by their peers. Moreover, they’re sought after for the true works of art they are.
So what does it take for a Nerf gun of such visual perfection to warrant such an honorable title? Simply put. The gun must have curb appeal. Therefore, it has little to do with performance or ammunition type and the mode of delivery doesn’t even enter the conversation. .
Now this can mean a number of different things and there are many ways it can fall flat. For example a blaster can have a great physical design and be the best looking Nerf gun in the series but completely bomb on the color scheme.
Or perhaps it’s well thought out but doesn’t truly come to life until its color scheme is upgraded and changed. This is exactly what happened with the Vigilon from the Vortex series. A really simple Nerf gun that until it was re-released in the new red camo was just another gun in the series. It changed the way the blaster looked completely.
THE COOLEST LOOKING NERF GUNS SELL
The curb appeal can have a profound effect on the gun. A simple upgrade to the design color can catapult sales for a blaster that otherwise had sluggish start. Success that can be seen almost instantly in a lot of cases. Let me share with you what I think are some of the coolest looking Nerf guns and why.
THE BEST LOOKING NERF GUN FROM THE VORTEX SERIES
It only felt appropriate to start with the Vigilon since it was mentioned in my lead-in.
This gun has been released under a number of different color patterns, although it wasn’t until the one shown in the image (Red, White, Gray, Black, Orange) was released that it was truly set apart from the pact. Proof that a new paint job can bring forth change. A gun that had fallen off the radar was given a second a new start.
There’s really no way of knowing how these changes affected sales without a little help from Hasbro, although one can assume them to be positive. Just take a look at it..
Unfortunately, disc style Nerf guns never gained enough traction or notoriety to stand the test of time, although they were a nice change from darts.
BEST LOOKING NERF GUN IN THE MEGA SERIES
The MotoStryke is arguably one of the coolest looking Nerf guns in the tactical genre. It has a strong tactical presence that goes unmatched by any other Nerf gun in the Mega series. This can be seen in both the design and visual elements. Part of the natural beauty to be admired is seen in the digital camo used to encase its true nature.
What’s interesting is that Mega blasters are designed to be larger in size. Not significantly but a subtle nudge in that direction, although the Motostryke doesn’t feel bulky. It has such a balanced ergonomic presence that it just feels natural to hold and cycle. The only thing it’s missing is a drum magazine with matching digital camo.
SOME OF THE COOLEST LOOKING NERF GUNS HAVE DIGI CAMO
The Mega series typically runs a red, orange, black, gray, white color palette. It always seemed fine but when they released the Motostryke in Digi Camo it felt as though the missing part of the formula was found. In addition to this, camo splashes are some of my favorite patterns and this is especially true for digital camo. Therefore, matching it with the right blaster was a receipt for success. Also, it was this combination that caused the Motostyrke to dominate the competition.

THE BEST LOOKING BLASTER IN THE ZOMBIE STRIKE SERIES
I consider the Revoltinator to be one of the most thought out Nerf guns of the Zombie Strike series. The gun is designed to look as though it was thrown together piece by piece, using spare parts that were just lying around. This can be seen in the details as signs of rebar, batteries and other materials are formed into a usable weapon. The end result is a modified masterpiece of destruction.
In addition to this you will also find hidden behind all the visual splendor a special feature which makes this gun interactive. Animated lights and sounds will accompany the operation of the gun and give it some additional mojo. Couple this with the sounds of the acceleration trigger and it all just fits together.

THE COOLEST LOOKING NERF GUN IN THE ULTRA SERIES
If you’re not yet familiar with the Ultra series you’re certainly missing out on some of the coolest looking Nerf guns in the tactical combat genre. And from this litter comes a Nerf gun that I’m very fond of and it goes by the name ONE. Specifically the Ultra ONE Screamer. The gun on a performance level is very hit and miss, although from a visual standpoint I believe the blaster to be a solid win.
The Screamer version is a rerelease of the original Nerf Ultra ONE. It has all the same features but with an entirely new color scheme. I believe the new accent colors, coupled with the Ultra Scream darts, is far more fitting for a disaster such as this.

ONE OF THE COOLEST LOOKING NERF GUNS EVER CREATED
After a long wait, the Halo Needler was finally released at the end of 2022 and by all measures it was able to hold up to the hype. To date the blaster continues to get unbelievably good reviews as it should. Hasbro doesn’t always get it right, but when they do you have to give credit where credit is due. Moreover, the Needler was designed to closely resemble and function just like the version from the video game and this is what they managed to pull off.
I’ll only cover a few of the features here, although I wrote a full article on the Nerf Halo Needler and will link to it below. As for features, the gun has a display mode which allows the gun to illuminate so you can show it off. Also, similar illumination features correspond with the operation of the gun. In addition to this the gun has a beautiful gun metal gray shell and purple needle accents.
RESERVED FOR SOMETHING COOL IN THE FUTURE.
