ZOMBIE STRIKE NERF GUNS
Nerf Zombie Strike is a series that’s themed after…you guessed it, the zombie apocalypse. Each blaster has it’s own unique design. Some look as though they where thrown together in an abandon garage, while others resemble modern guns that have been altered to suit the needs of the modern day peace bringer.
This is absolutely one of my favorite families and has been for a long time. I’ve always been a fan of the zombie genre and found it refreshing to take a break from battling orcs on the daily.
The guns are well designed and rich with details that make them a believable weapon someone would use. So when this whole thing unwinds and the apocalypse is under way. This is the place you’ll want to be.

The pie chart will give you a rundown as to what types of features you will find across the entire series. My only complaint is that there are no full automatics to be had. It would be nice to see at least one represented and to a series that’s very much alive and well, lets hope the future is a bright one.

ALTERNATOR
The Zombie Strike Alternator is a pistol style Nerf gun with a slight alteration from the norm. This blaster will fire in both single fire and multi-fire modes. You have the choice between firing 1 shot, 2 shots at once or 3 shots at once. The adjustment between firing modes is manual but the process is easy.
Another perk is the pull handle primer. One of the simplest primers to operate and very efficient. Couple the two and you have a winning combination.

HAMMERSHOT
The HammerShot is arguably the most popular Nerf gun in the Zombie Strike series. This pistol style blaster has stood the test of time and continues to get awesome customer reviews. It has all the features of a realistic Hammer-Action revolver with an apocalyptic spin.
Cycling the HammerShot is slower then normal due to how the gun is designed to operate, however, it’s still usable with one hand which makes it sought after backup to a primary weapon.

FLIPFURY
The FlipFury has very unique feature in that it allows the user to switch between 2 rotating drums at a moments notice. Each drum will hold up to 6 rounds. This gun will also have a faster rate of firing due to the Slam-Fire firing mode, however, a lot hinges on how fast you’re able to switch between drums.
Due to the operation of this Nerf gun I would recommend using it as a primary weapon. It does have a sling point attachment points but I find it to be bulky at my side.

RIPCHAIN
The RipChain is another Zombie Strike favorite. This chain fed Nerf gun has two firing modes that will both help to conserve ammo or create a hailstorm if you find yourself backed into a corner and 25 rounds is sufficient for either.
The only downside to the RipChain is the reload speed which can be time consuming, however, do it enough times and your efficiency will increase. A process long forgotten once you’re back in the action.

THIS SERIES USES ELITE STYLE NERF DARTS
All Zombie Strike Nerf guns are compatible with and come packaged with Elite style Nerf darts. This will include magazines and drums as well. The darts are branded with the Zombie Strike logo and have a neon green color scheme.
Elite Darts were originally marketed for their increased accuracy and range, however, they’re also pretty durable and should hold up well under normal play.
THE PERFECT ZOMBIE STRIKE NERF GUN FOR A SMALL CHILD
MicroShots is a series that I speak quit frequently about when it comes to the topic of smaller children. This series is known to have Nerf guns that are miniature versions of existing blasters. They’re simple to operate, light weight and easy to reload. Three features that are very important.

The Hammershot is arguably the most widely known Nerf gun in the Zombie Strike series. It has stood the test of time and continues to deliver time and time again.

The FlipFury has a unique feature in that you’re able to access additional rounds buy flipping to a new cylinder and although this Nerf gun doesn’t have that feature, the visuals are clearly seen.

This MicroShots Nerf gun will not leave you defenseless when the darts run dry. The blade may not rotate like the full size version, however, every other feature is nearly identical to the original.

ZOMBIE STRIKE “POWER SHOCK” – REVOLTINATOR
Power Shock is a series of Nerf guns that are known for their animated lights and sounds. They follow the same apocalyptic visuals and color palette, however they do offer up some unique features.

The Revoltinator has some unique features that are worth discussing. This Nerf gun is driven by a power source (6″D” Batteries) that enable it to seem as though it were electrified. Almost as though it were about to electrocute whoever is operating it.

ZOMBIE STRIKE “SURVIVAL SYSTEMS” – SCAVENGER
Survival Systems is a series of Nerf guns that have the appearance of being thrown together in some abandon garage/lab. They follow the same apocalyptic visuals, however, the color palette has some changes, along with some additional features.

The featured Nerf gun shown is the Scavenger and this blaster is loaded with all sorts of additional features. First off it has a hidden blaster on the Nerf gun that can be used as a backup. Additionally, it has a removable scope and light which allows you to swap out for other accessories. And the list goes on..
THE ZOMBIE STRIKE SERIES HAS ALWAYS BEEN ONE OF A KIND
If there’s one thing that’s for certain it’s that Zombie Strike has always been in a world of its own. A fad that just doesn’t seem to want to go away.
I have always been a huge fan of the zombie apocalypse genre and being blessed with two children I can say that we’ve battled our share over the years. Both in real time (make believe) and on the big screen (video games). It never seemed to get old and the story line just continued to evolve making it that much more enticing to follow.
Since it’s inception the creative team at Hasbro has continued to deliver some pretty wild looking guns. Creativity that can easily been seen in their two latest collections, Power Shock and Survival System.
Lets hope the concept team has a few blasters left up their sleeves..
