Nerf Halo Mangler Technical Information and Features

The Mangler is a single fire Nerf gun that has a 6 round capacity and uses a pull handle primer as a priming mechanism. It’s primary function is to deal out maximum damage as quickly as possible. This can be achieved through one of two methods, rounds fired or melee (please don’t punch your sibling with this). This gun has a bulky feel to support melee features, however, it shouldn’t affect mobility. Furthermore, the Mangler has a below average rate of fire that will alter your play style.

This gun is similar in operation to the Raptor-Slash and the Mega CycloneShock

The Mangler doesn’t have any sling point locations nor do I believe this will be an issue. The gun is on the bulkier side and allowing it to dangle from your side would cause some mobility issues.

There’s one tactical rail located on the top part of the Nerf gun that will accommodate most N-Strike scopes or another form of sighting system. Although, I believe the gun is fine in it’s current state.

How to Reload The Nerf Mangler

The Mangler is fed by a 6 round rotating drum that’s encased within the body of the Nerf gun. To access it you will need to open the gun from the left side. Darts can then be loaded one at a time into the drum, however, it will require manual rotation between each round. The process is slow and will give the gun a below average reload speed and is one area the Mangler really struggles.

How to Operate The Nerf Halo Mangler

The Mangler uses a pull handle primer as a priming mechanism, although, it’s a bit different than what you may be used to. The handle is on the top-back portion of the Nerf gun and will operate similar to a slide-action primer. To put the gun in the ready position, pull the handle back and return it to the forward position. A single shot can now be fired.
